Want some greenery in your scenery? Plants add a dash of color to any room and can help provide much needed oxygen for more brain power during those late-night cramming sessions. Did you know you can dig up a variety of them right in Menomonie? The fun thing is that plants around this town may be found in some of the least expected places.

DOWNTOWN 

Artysta Boutique – You may discover plants with a personality here, meaning, they might be dressed up with googly eyes. You know, it makes them more personable and easier to talk to. 

Mood Boutique – From air plants to new pants, you can get them here. These plants have no need for soil or toil. They just appreciate a good soaking or a gentle mist of water every so often and they’re good to grow. 

ON 9TH STREET 

Dick’s Fresh Market – They always seem to have a variety of plants from succulents to African violets. The plants at this grocery store are typically situated right in front of the produce area, allowing for quick in-and-out access. 

NORTH MENOMONIE 

Fleet Farm – They offer plants to match the seasons. You never quite know what you will stumble upon here but you can be sure it will rock. 

Walmart – You will also find plants to match the season here, plus other indoor potted friends. Sometimes, you may find dying plants at a bargain price. They’re typically located out in the greenhouse, if they have any in need of rescuing. 

Dollar Tree – We’re not sure about the live plant category but they certainly offer plant starter kits to get you off and growing. Also, if you are looking for a change in plant containers, this place offers some very inexpensive glassware and other containers suitable for harboring a plant. 

ROAD TRIP 

Blind Munchies in River Falls – They have both caffeine and cacti for purchase. Satisfy your thirst for coffee and desire for plants in one stop. The plants are very portable and fit nicely in a variety of places like your desk or window sill. They even come with instructions for care. 

Whether north or south, east or west, in Menomonie you have many options to earn (or maintain) the beloved title of “plant mom” (or dad!). Now that we have given you the dirt, go out and get some plants!
