Street Level Radio News Update

“Bro, why do you keep ignoring us?”
No response…
“Bro! BRO!” taps shoulder
Earbuds fall out…
“What?! Why are you so upset?”
“Dude, for the past two days you’ve been completely ignoring us! I don’t think you’ve taken your earbuds out… and we’re not the only ones who noticed. Sir is getting pretty annoyed…”
“Oh, bro! I can’t stop listening to Street Level Radio!”
“Unsa na?”
“It’s a new radio station here at UV. All you have to do is turn on your Wi-Fi and connect to the open network, ‘StreetLevelRadio.’ They play some of my favorite bands, like Planetshakers and Hillsong United. They even have live shows with students sometimes!”
“Ohh…” puts on headphones
“Bro! This is cool!”

Street Level Radio kicked off the new decade with two new antenna locations in Cebu City. At the beginning of January, we installed multiple Wi-Fi access points around the University of the Visayas – Main Campus. Students can now listen to SLR for free on their phone, tablet, or laptop in T-Square, the Main Lobby, UV Quadrangle, and the DJR building.

Listen to “The Visayanian Talks” with DJ’s John and Ruby every Friday from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. Or, stop by our live broadcast booth at UV on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. If you have an announcement, club meeting, or other event that you’d like to feature on the station, send us a message on Facebook!

We also installed a Wi-Fi access point at a trendy new coffee shop in downtown Cebu City – Roadside Café. If you are a USC or CNU student, you’ve probably passed by it many times! It’s located on Junquera Street beside the famous Chinese Ngohiong eatery. If you’re in need of a caffeine pick-me-up or quiet place to study, Roadside Café is where you want to go. Owned in part by a USC graduate, the space caters to the student’s busy lifestyle. When you enter the café, you’ll be greeted by friendly baristas and a minimal interior. Sit upfront for a chill time with your friends, or venture to the “Quiet Zone” at the back for intense studying (or sleeping). To top it off, if you have a big group project to work on, you can even reserve their function room to meet in. Stop by Roadside Café sometime and while you’re at it, turn on Street Level Radio!

Street Level Radio is the official radio station of Street Level Ministries Cebu and the University of the Visayas. Listen to Street Level Radio 24/7 for a variety of Christian music, Bible teachings, and local and campus events. Listen anywhere in the world online by visiting streetlevelradio.com.
