Jesus Loves Music

STREET LEVEL RADIO NEWS UPDATE

Have you ever considered how every culture around the world uses music to convey emotions, tell stories, and express creativity? Every nation, tribe, and people group have a unique way of using music to tell who they are… but is there something more to it than a simple expression of individual personality or tribal identity?

Why do we create music? Better yet – for those of us who are less musically inclined (the writer included) – why do we listen to music? If we simply exist on this planet to live, procreate, and die, why bother with any of it?

Perhaps, music is a universal language, because it is designed by the God of the Universe.

God made music for His glory and our joy. He made it so people could worship Him with it. Just browse through the pages of the Bible and you can easily see how often music is used to celebrate good things, give thanks, express deep emotions, offer up heartfelt prayers, and heal people of
harmful spirits. No wonder we’re all drawn to music! No matter what our preferences of the genre may be, each of us are hard-wired to express ourselves to our Creator through music.

That’s why Street Level Radio exists. We’re a group of people who differ in age, musical preferences, family upbringings, and even cultural backgrounds. Yet, we love Jesus and we love music. Our love for Him is what binds us together, while our love for music is what brings you Cebu’s
online Christian, college radio station.

We want you to know that Jesus loves music. God gave it to us as a gift to be enjoyed throughout the world to communicate, celebrate, mourn, praise, and create. As the God of the Universe, He revels in the music that is made to worship Him. Seriously, who wouldn’t enjoy hearing a love
song written for them?

At Street Level Radio, we desire to worship God and enjoy His goodness through music. Our mission is to communicate the truth of who God is by broadcasting relevant and thought-provoking content. We stream excellent music, solid Bible teachings, and local and campus events to encourage you in your pursuit of God.
